Activates adrenal glands – Gastritis

PROPERTIES: Anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic, stimulant, adrenal cortex booster, reduces cholesterol, gastric mucosa softener, possibly anti-allergic, refreshing and expectorant.

Research has shown that when Licorice tincture is degraded in the gut has anti-inflammatory and anti-arthritic effects similar to hydrocortisone and other corticosteroid hormones. Stimulates hormone production by the adrenal glands and reduces the disintegration of steroids by the liver and kidneys. It is effective in chronic hepatitis and liver sanction. Useful for inflammatory stomach and digestive system diseases such as mouth ulcer, gastritis, peptic ulcer, hyperacidity problems benefit by licorice as well as various chest disorders, arthritics, joint problems and inflammatory joins.

Licorice activates the adrenal glands in order to help with the Addison’s disease where adrenal glands cease to function normally.

DOSE SUGGESTED: 10-20 drops in 100ml of water 3 times a day for up to 4 weeks. For gastritis 5 drops diluted in 100ml of water twice a day. Repeat after a month.

PRECAUSIONS: Do not use it if you got anemia, high blood pressure and in pregnancy. Avoid Licorice in hypertension as it is believed to cause fluid retention. People treated with digoxin based medicines (digitalis) should not take Licorice.
